WEEKLY BIBLE READING PLAN

WEEK EIGHTEEN

Day 1

Acts 22:21-30

Why did Paul’s last statement throw the crowd into an uproar?
How do we see God’s sovereignty at work in this passage?

    Day 2

     Acts 23:1-11

What do verses 2-5 show us about the character of Paul and his respect for God’s word?
Does the Lord still strengthen Christians today in the way that He strengthened Paul in verse 11? In what other ways does God strengthen us?

            Day 3

            Acts 23:12-35

What method did God choose to use to deliver Paul in this chapter? What can we learn from this about some of the ways that God works?
Is there any current situation in your life where you need to be reminded that God is working, even if you can’t see it?

            Day 4

            Acts 24:1-27

Paul had to wait unjustly in prison for two years even after God clearly promised him through a dream that he would go to Rome. What does this teach us about God’s timing?
Is there anything that you are waiting for God to act on right now? If so, how does this passage influence your attitude in your waiting?

                        Day 5

                        Acts 25:1-12

                        • After Paul had been in prison for two years, the chief priests were still just as eager as before to kill him. Based on this, how do you speculate that Paul was using his time in prison?
                        • Paul had been promised by God that he would witness in Rome (Acts 23:11). How does the end of today’s passage help us understand how God’s plans, and us acting in God-given wisdom, can work together to achieve His purposes?
